Foundation that moisturizes and also have SPF, concealer with eye serum, even a “fuzzy logic” (!) pressure cooker that steams my white rice while turning my salmon into a perfect shade of millennium pink—yes, all exist in the world and are my current obsessions. And on the hair front, there’s TRESemmé’s latest after-shower spritzer, TRESemmé Repair & Protect 7 Pre-Styling Spray. I never really call it by that name though and instead call it my new one-and-done (my boyfriend raised some objections with its first proposed nickname, “The One.”).
The one-and-done
If you’re the gambling sort, that 7 on the bottle should be a portent of great and prosperous things, and give you the instant belly tingles. See, I’m not a gambler, but I am horribly superstitions, as well as love things that do a lot of other things—and this has also assuaged every hair fear I’ve had this summer. Tangles? Gone. Frizz? You wish. Split ends? Not on this watch. You can say I’m kind of infatuated. That “7,” by the way, refers to the seven different types of damage it protects against, which honestly kind of freaked me out because, really, seven kinds of damage, really? It’s almost biblical—but with split ends instead of deadly sins. And here I thought that my 3-in-1 foundation was peak overachievement. I leave you with this: If you’ve ever brushed, blow-dried, bleached, colored, curled, flat-ironed and/or braided your hair in your entire life, you need this little guy. Not only does it work to condition and prime your hair for the self-inflicted torture (a.k.a. styling) you’re putting it through afterwards, it also prevents damage from adding on to your current situation. Oh! And it smells like a summery berry-vanilla body mist too, which is also partly why I spray it onto my palms first, hehe. Yup, all that for the price of two subway swipes. Secret’s out, friends! Here’s to sin-proofing your locks for the rest of the season. You can find TRESemmé Repair & Protect 7 Pre-Styling Spray, at local drugstores.
